I had an auto title loan with a company called Speedy Cash. I owed them $148 left on the loan when they repossed the car. The next day I paid the balance off and they gave me the information for the company they hired to repossess my car (Auto Recovery Bureau of Houston). I called them and they told me because my car was charged off by Speedy Cash it was going to cost me $1,082 to get my car back because speedy cash doesnt pay their recovery fee the owner of the vehicle has to pay it which their fee is $740 up front plus another $250 for a vehicle tracking brain injury lawyer program they had to purchase to find the car (which was not hidden, my daughter was driving it and it sat at my house for 2 weeks while it was being repaired, so i dont know why they couldn't find it) they found it by following my daughter home from my house, they didn't have any tracking program like they claim they had to purchase and I have to pay for.
I can't afford the fee to get the car back, i barely paid the $148 to pay the loan off.
Can I sue Speedy Cash or Auto Recovery to get my car back. They plan on selling my vehicle in the next 8 days. HELP!
